Before the treatment
Before the treatment, it is necessary to first consult a specialist at our clinic. The doctor will evaluate the suitability of the procedure for the specific client. The client will also be informed about the surgery and post-operative regimen and notified of potential risks. After agreement with the client, we will arrange the date of the required pre-operative examinations and the surgery at the reception desk.
During the treatment
Arm lifting is performed under general anaesthesia and usually takes 1 hour. The incision is led on the boundary between the inner and back arm, from the armpit to the elbow. Excess skin and subcutaneous fat will be removed. The wounds are usually closed with a special continuous absorbable thread that ensures the scars will be as small as possible.
Pressure dressing is applied to the wound together with preventive drains. These are removed on the second day and compression sleeves are placed on the arms. On the second day after surgery, the client is released to home care.
After the treatment
Pain is minimal after the surgery, dulled for the first days with conventional oral analgesics. Recovery time is about 2 weeks, during which the client comes in for checkups and redressing. Compression sleeves are worn for about 4 weeks. Sports and physical activities are not recommended
