Before the treatment
Before the treatment, it is necessary to first consult a specialist at our clinic. The doctor will evaluate the suitability of the surgery for the specific client and explain the principle of the surgery, post-operative regimen and risks of the treatment. With the reception desk of the clinic, we will arrange the date of the surgery and necessary pre-operative examinations.
During the treatment
Brow lift itself is performed under general anaesthesia and usually takes between 1 and 2 hours. The surgeon makes an incision in the scalp above the forehead to make sure the scars remain hidden. The skin and subcutaneous structures are gradually tightened and stretched from the eyebrows upwards; excess skin is removed. The wound is then closed in layers with sutures. This procedure raises the eyebrows and smoothes the brow lift, giving the client a more youthful look. Clients usually spend 1 night at the clinic.
After the treatment
Clients return home from the clinic with a bandaged head. After the surgery, some swelling and minor bruises remain for 7-10 days, but gradually fade away. The client returns to our clinic for regular redressing. Sutures are removed after 2 weeks. The post-operative scar will be hidden in the hair. The area around the scar may have temporarily reduced sensitivity to external stimuli; feeling will be restored in a few months.
Who can be treated?
Brow lift is performed for clients of middle age and older with deep wrinkles on the brow lift or sagging eyebrows. The health condition of the client must allow surgery under general anaesthesia.
