If inverted nipples appear at an older age, they must be given special attention and a preventive breast examination is required to rule out more serious problems.
Inverted nipples may also pose problems in one's sexual life and lead to decreased self-esteem. But there is no need to worry, because a very simple solution exists.
Before the treatment
Before the treatment, it is necessary to first consult a specialist at our clinic. The doctor will examine the client, discuss the issue and propose a surgical solution. The physician will also provide information about the surgery, post-operative regimen and potential risks. Because the procedure is performed in local anaesthesia, no preoperative examination is required. The physician together with the reception desk will then schedule the date of the surgery.
During the treatment
The inverted nipples surgery is performed as an outpatient service under local anaesthesia. It takes about 30 minutes. A small incision on the edge of the areola interrupts the ducts of the mammary gland responsible for the inversion. The nipple is fixed in the desired position for 3 weeks using special stainless steel safety pins. After the surgery, the physician covers the wound with a dressing and the client is released to home care.
After the treatment
There will be some temporary minor pain after the treatment, manageable with standard analgesics. Swelling and minor bruises will subside in a few days. If the client performs a physically undemanding job, it is possible to return to work after several days. Regular checkups at the clinic are scheduled for the next 3-4 weeks.
Who can be treated?
Inverted nipples surgery is performed for healthy women with fully developed breasts.
